Hiya, I'm Maxine
Maxine is the director of Unika Dance Events. She is in charge of Unika’s artistic voice as well as all aspects of running Unika.
With over ten years of experience in the dance industry and having worked for the highest calibre of events, brands and artists such as Ne-yo, Robin Thicke, Little Mix, JLS, Sister Sledge, Petshop Boys, Britain’s Got Talent, Game of Thrones, X-Men: First Class , and The X Factor, her successful and rewarding career has taken her to beautiful destinations around the world, from Morocco, Malta, India, Qatar, Dubai, Brazil and Hong Kong, to just name a few. Maxine decided to create a professional company that would focus on utilising creativity to not just entertain but to create memorable experiences that lead to lasting, meaningful connections between people.
A true powerhouse, Maxine marries her extensive performance and events experience with her ambition to deliver transformative entertainment concepts to her clients.
Her belief in the power of dance & music to connect people and bring joy permeates the entire company from the dancers and performers to the administrative team and of course the clients we work with.
Maxine has also just recently qualified as a life coach and looks forward to creatively marrying events with personal development and dance in the future.
“When I’m not creating exciting events... I love yoga, reading, knitting (yes you read correctly! lol) and my idea of fun is a good Ted Talk with a cup of Earl Grey tea snuggled up in bed! Or I love going out for nice dinners and cocktails with my favourite girl friends. I make an awesome banana cake and I am a big Beyonce fan!”

Hello there, I'm Lucia
Lucia is one of Unika’s core dancers and its communications and events manager.
Lucia came to London from Berlin to pursue a career in dance at the age of 19. Her passion points are helping people express themselves and their vision creatively and supporting good causes, from environmental protection to mental health, through the power of dance.
Championing efficient communication and creative self-expression, Lucia works with choreographers, scientists and in entertainment and events, to build bridges between people or companies and their audiences.
Working for Unika enables Lucia to marry her passions and to work in diverse environments and with a large variety of clients. It is a thoroughly rewarding experience.
“When I’m not creating and assist events I love discovering the good, the bad, the most glamorous and the most mundane parts of London. I also love nights out in London’s Theatre land. My ideal evening would be having dinner outdoors, for example at one of my favourite Italians in London, Bellaria near Oxford Circus, followed by seeing a show in the West End. For fun I take Swing dance classes with my boyfriend. He’s not a dancer, but seeing him learn and sharing that journey with him is great! My passion, aside from dance of course, is helping the environment and fighting against climate change in whatever little way I personally can.”
